You encompass me with love where'er I go, and your strength is my shield. Such sensitivity is too wonderful for me; it is high; boundless gratitude is my soul's response.
~Psalm 139, Psalms for Praying, Nan C. Merrill
God is seeking us, just as we are seeking God. It does not require us to entice God. It does not depend on our efforts to get God's attention. God desires to weave God's self deeper into every area of our lives. Gratitude is the most fruitful way of being drawn into the sanctuary of God's love. This immense love can only flow out to others.
Enticing My Heart
O Ancient Love,
forever enticing my heart
into a complete acceptance
of belonging to you,
forever enticing my heart
to regain what I set adrift
by habitual disregard
and intentional wrongdoing,
forever enticing my heart
with distinct reminders
of your enduring love
and perpetual welcome,
forever enticing my heart
with the light of your guidance,
and the texture of your touch
in the people I dearly love,
forever enticing my heart
in the quiet chambers of self,
and the determined way
you weave through everything.

Song: God is Holding Your Life, The River's Voice
Blessing:
I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breath and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge;
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine. ~Ephesians 3:20 NRSV
